Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the ministry site, fill orders, and reply to you.

• Account details you provide: name, email, and password (stored hashed).
• Checkout details: billing and shipping address, phone, and the email you use for receipts and classroom access.
• Order history: products, quantities, amounts, and fulfillment status.
• Contact and form messages you send through this site.
• Donation records when you give through this site or a linked donation form.
• Course, reading, and listening progress if you use the classroom or library after a purchase.
• Technical data the browser sends in the ordinary course of a visit, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, in server and hosting logs.

• Create your account, process payments, and deliver books, courses, eBooks, and audiobooks.
• Send receipts, password-setup links, order access, and replies to questions you asked us.
• Ship paperbacks and contact you if a shipment needs attention.
• Record donations and provide acknowledgment where appropriate.
• Operate, secure, and improve the website.
• Comply with law, prevent fraud, and protect the ministry, our users, and the public.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent our email list.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe receives the payment details you enter and the amount of the charge, including paperback shipping when it applies.

Transactional email (receipts, password setup, order access) is sent through Resend from an STTM address such as noreply@soundthetrumpet.org.

Some gifts go through Zeffy’s donation form or a Bitcoin address we publish. Those processors have their own privacy practices for data you give them directly.

We use cookies and similar storage that are needed for the site to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your cart, and storing a display preference such as theme. These are not advertising trackers. You can block cookies in your browser; checkout and account features may then stop working.

We share information with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed for that work:

• Stripe, for payments.
• Resend, for email we send you.
• Our hosting and database providers, who store the site and its records.
• Zeffy, when you donate through their form.
• Shipping partners, when a paperback order needs to be delivered.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a reorganization of the ministry, with the same kinds of limits described here.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

You may update account details after you sign in. To correct an order, request a copy of the information we hold, or ask us to delete an account, use the contact page or email ron@soundthetrumpet.org. We may keep records we are required to keep (for example, donation and purchase records) even after an account is closed.

We keep information as long as the account, order, donation, or legal need remains active, then for a reasonable archive period. We use standard administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page is the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
